Davanzo: Communities Score Infrastructure Grants

January 20, 2026

HARRISBURG – Rep. Eric Davanzo (R-Westmoreland) today announced more than $2.8 million in grants were approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority for projects within the 58th Legislative District.

“These projects improve public safety, are economy boosters and extend much-need utilities,” said Davanzo. “I appreciated working along with Sen. Kim Ward on seeing these important investments made in our region.”

The CFA is an independent agency of the Department of Community and Economic Development. It distributes funding through several programs dedicated to economic growth. The grants awarded are through the Multimodal Transportation Fund and the Small Water and Sewer grant programs.

In all, $2,829,807 was awarded to the 58th Legislative District, including:

• Mount Pleasant Township, $350,000 to extend a water line on Slope Hill.
• North Belle Veron Borough, $672,330 for improvements on Broad Avenue.
• Rostraver Township, $116,950 for improvements to the Willow Links stormwater system.
• South Huntingdon Township, $190,527 to extend a water line on Mendon Road.
• West Newton Borough, $1.5 million for improvements to Vine and Water streets and to rehabilitate sewer equipment.
